El CEO de Plantae, Samuel López, presentó en Arabia Saudí la tecnología de la compañía, proyectos y casos de éxito en proyectos de esta región. La presentación tuvo lugar en el Annual Forum de la SAFTA, Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance, organizado en el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, Agua y Agricultura (MEWA), en el marco de la Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance (SAFTA).

Before an audience of Saudi authorities, including His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, H.E. Mr. Mansour Hilal Al Mushaiti, agricultural experts and representatives of companies in the sector, Samuel López explained how Plantae's technology and data analysis platform help optimize irrigation, improve water use efficiency and increase crop sustainability.

During his speech, the CEO emphasized that “the digitalization of the field is a fundamental tool to face the challenges of Vision 2030 in KSA and the responsible management of water resources.

In addition to presenting the technological solutions, the intervention conveyed the potential for saving water and fertilizers, as well as the control of crops in a region where agriculture is a priority objective.

All from a collaborative point of view, integrating public entities, universities, data analysis bodies, agricultural engineers and farmers into the value proposition.

Once established in southern Europe, Plantae has spent more than a year investing in international expansion into the Middle East and Latin America, where it aims to be one of the leading Agrotech companies in 2027 and 2028.

Objectives of the Saudi AgriFood Tech Alliance (SAFTA)

SAFTA's purpose is to catalyze the nationwide adoption of technologies in the agri-food sector for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Specifically, its main objectives are:

  1. Establish a robust community of actors in the agri-food ecosystem (research, industry, government, NGOs) who share interests in innovation and technology.
  2. Promote collaboration among Alliance members through events, knowledge sharing, networking, and member matchmaking.
  3. Create a forum to identify, prioritize, and inform policies that benefit the Kingdom's Agro-Food ecosystem.
