How much water can your soil hold? Let's try to clarify these questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Field capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>capacidad de campo (CC)<\/strong> es la cantidad m\u00e1xima de agua o humedad, que un suelo puede retener despu\u00e9s de que el exceso de agua drena debido a la gravedad, pero antes de que el agua est\u00e9 completamente seca. Es un indicador clave para saber cu\u00e1nta agua est\u00e1 disponible para las plantas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The measurement of <strong>field capacity<\/strong> indicates whether the soil is stable in terms of water, air and soil content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Water that drains from the soil is <strong>not available to plants<\/strong>, as it is lost to gravity before the roots can absorb it. The plant may suffer irreversible root damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available Water (AD)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">It is the water that is between the <strong>Field Capacity<\/strong> and the <strong>Permanent Wilting Point<\/strong>.
