All with the aim of achieving better quality and more crop quantity, while saving water and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sondas Plantae in Moroccan agriculture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"946\" height=\"1674\" src=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/cd1235b1-69ae-4cdf-9da8-62f11373631a.jpg\" alt=\"Gr\u00e1fico de humedad en plantaci\u00f3n de tomates\" class=\"wp-image-84404\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Humidity graph in tomato plantation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Going one step further in the installation of sensors, we arrived in Morocco, specifically at a <strong>tomato plantation in AGADIR. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the main problems of agriculture in Morocco is the scarcity of water. Controlling the plantation and being able to optimize the crop with savings of up to 40% is something that farmers in Morocco are considering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, as we can see in the image, the graph indicates the degree of humidity that we have in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Humidity control will influence the quality of the tomato and the uniformity of production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sensors are installed at a depth of 15 and 30 centimeters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We can control: <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wet bulb moisture<\/strong> at different depths.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The conductivity<\/strong>, to avoid accumulation of salts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La temperatura radicular<\/strong> que nos previene de posibles enfermedades. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La cantidad de litros por metro cuadrado<\/strong>, in case of being an outdoor plantation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ambient temperature<\/strong>, importante en los invernaderos y en exterior.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Irrigation flow<\/strong>, adaptable al grosor de la tuber\u00eda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Relative humidity<\/strong>, especially important in greenhouses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The control of the irrigation parameters makes the crop grow in a more homogeneous way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can appreciate the quality of the tomato plants ready for transplanting in the images of a greenhouse controlled by Plantae sensors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"859\" height=\"507\" data-id=\"84449\" src=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/plantas-de-tomate.png\" alt=\"Plantas de tomate para trasplantar\" class=\"wp-image-84449\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tomato plants for transplanting<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"961\" height=\"600\" data-id=\"84450\" src=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/invernadero-de-tomates.png\" alt=\"Invernadero de plantas de tomate controlado por sensores\" class=\"wp-image-84450\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Plantae Sensor Controlled Tomato Plant Greenhouse<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Irrigation control scheme in tomato<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We focus on the needs of tomato irrigation control as it is one of the main agricultural crops in Morocco, but it is applicable to all vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"625\" height=\"792\" src=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/riego-del-tomate-.png\" alt=\"Riego controlado por sensores en tomate\" class=\"wp-image-84460\" style=\"width:430px;height:544px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sensor-controlled irrigation in tomato<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/en\/sistema-de-riego-factores-que-influyen-importancia-de-un-buen-diseno-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Drip irrigation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Root system<\/strong>, formed by fibrous and adventitious roots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wet bulb<\/strong>: the shape depends on the type of soil. It is more elongated the more sandy the composition of the soil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Humidity sensor<\/strong> <strong>and conductivity<\/strong>: sends information in real time to be able to adapt the irrigation system to the needs of the plant according to the phenological state.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Temperature probe<\/strong>: very important to detect the health of the root system and therefore the good absorption of nutrients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Connector depths<\/strong>: for humidity, temperature and conductivity sensors. They vary depending on the length of the roots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Accumulation of salts: <\/strong>around the wet bulb due to irrigation water washing. They also accumulate on the top edge by evaporation. Excessive accumulation due to uncontrolled irrigation impairs the good absorption of the nutrients that the plant needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Runoff<\/strong>: much lower as we control the irrigation system more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Terrain<\/strong>: Ideally, it should have a loamy texture. The ones that allow it to develop its roots because they are lighter and more permeable. The sandy ones do not suit you because they retain little water and the heavy ones become very waterlogged and weaken the root system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Drip irrigation pipe<\/strong>: It can also be buried.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Evaporation<\/strong>: increases with lack of irrigation control and high temperatures. If the irrigation is buried, less evaporation occurs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Transpiration<\/strong>: the water that is lost in the form of vapor and increases as the plant has more branches and leaves. It favors the circulation of the sap and is altered when the stomata close because they detect a lack of absorption by the roots due to water deficit, producing water stress in the plant.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Factors to highlight in the agriculture of Morocco <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Morocco has an oceanic climate throughout the Atlantic fringe, with high temperatures and heavy rains. with periods of drought and in the upper zone it has a Mediterranean and warm climate. The interior is hot and dry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/image-3-1024x700.png\" alt=\"Producci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola en Marruecos\" class=\"wp-image-84426\" style=\"width:498px;height:340px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Agricultural production in Morocco-Faostat data-Elaboration Plantae<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La agricultura en Marruecos dio un giro importante con el &#8220;<strong>plan Marruecos verde<\/strong>&#8221; vigente desde 2008 para incentivar el crecimiento de la agricultura y bajar el desempleo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dentro de este plan est\u00e1  el &#8220;<strong>Programa Nacional de Ahorro de Agua de Riego<\/strong>&#8221; con lo siguientes objetivos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create lasting infrastructures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saving water and energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase productivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve irrigation methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide financial support for facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Streamline procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most important crops are tomatoes, outdoors and in greenhouses, and vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, agricultural production is not excessive, 14% of the country's total area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In foreign agriculture, the production of potatoes, tomatoes and onions stands out.
