{"id":79397,"date":"2016-11-03T12:08:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/?p=79397"},"modified":"2024-05-06T20:04:34","modified_gmt":"2024-05-06T18:04:34","slug":"primeros-sensores-de-humedad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/en\/primeros-sensores-de-humedad\/","title":{"rendered":"First humidity sensors for agriculture in 2016-We started"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plantae begins its journey by receiving the first subsurface moisture sensors in November 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is a subsurface moisture sensor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a humidity reading device, with two rods that we can bury at different depths, depending on the type of crop and its root system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regardless of the type of terrain, it detects humidity and emits the signal to a Hub \/ receiver, which in turn forwards it to a platform and this to the user's mobile or tablet. All in real time and with readings scheduled according to the demand of the farmer or gardening professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sensor is wireless and self-powered, it can go buried if it looks convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hub is powered by solar panel if there is no nearby power point. It has a range of 700 meters from the sensor and can connect with multiple sensors at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The soil moisture sensor (probe) can be used in traditional or intensive agriculture and in private or professional gardening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distribution of the sensors (probes) is determined after a detailed study of the terrain, the plot and the crop to be controlled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Our team <a href=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/en\/products\/agro\/\" target=\"_self\"> Plantae Agro <\/a> advises and controls both the installation and the subsequent operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img servers.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a fundamental step in the validation of the operation of the product before doing the first tests on the final tester Layout November 2016<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We designed the first version of the 2.0 sensor and hub, with IP treatment to avoid:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The contact of our electronics with humidity.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>That they are altered with other external agents.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Although the model in the image is shown in a conventional pot, they will be the first prototypes to be tested 2016<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">After receiving the first units of <a href=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/en\/aplicacion-plantae\/\" target=\"_self\"> sensors <\/a> and hubs (WiFi and gprs) we have proceeded to install them for testing through different areas of the <strong> Scientific Park of the Carlos III University of Madrid: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lawn test.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation in indoor pots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sensor in the bushes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try some flowers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The objective of this phase is to validate the correct measurement of our sensors as well as the reception of data with radio frequency technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First installation of humidity sensors in pistachio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong> After finishing the period of <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pistacia_vera\" target=\"_self\"> tests <\/a> in our environment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/plantae.garden\/\" target=\" _ self \"> UC3M Science Park <\/a>, we installed the first drip irrigation humidity sensors \/ probes to one of our pistachio tree tester clients. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The location was in <strong> Herencia (Ciudad Real) <\/strong> with an installation of 18 sensors on three types of terrain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The first frank.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Another sandy loam.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finally another clay loam.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-element-caption\">First humidity sensors<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goals to achieve in the pistachio fields<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to capture the first readings at different depths, sensors have been installed in the dripping zone and in the non-dripping zone with depths of up to 60 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Second test installation with the first humidity sensors-March 2017<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We ended the month of March with more than 100 sensors scheduled to install in May \/ June to the first clients \/ testers of Plantae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Over the next few weeks plantae will install <a href=\"https:\/\/ant.plantae.lavallweb.com\/en\/\" target=\"_self\"> sensors <\/a> on:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pistacheros of Ciudad Real and Arganda del Rey.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Olive trees of Ciudad Real and C\u00f3rdoba.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Walnut in C\u00f3rdoba.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Almond trees from Palma de Mallorca and C\u00f3rdoba.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fruit trees (peach trees) and vegetables (pink tomato, potato) in Huesca<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An important intermediate step before starting the first sales and having launched our SaaS management panel for farmers and garden professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure
