Plantae receives the award for the Best Practical Agri-Food Solution at the European level and recognition for practical and transformative innovation in the sector

SmartAgriFood Summit’24 Elevator Pitch Contest
Plantae was presented in the companies and projects competition organized by SmartAgriFood'24 in Seville. In its first phase, around 20 startups and SMEs were chosen from more than 100 candidates from 35 countries. The second phase, which took place throughout the first day of the event, consisted of a presentation of each project before the competition jury, carried out by the CEO of Plantae, Samuel López, and focused on technology of wireless sensors as well as the evolution of the company in the last 8 years.
The company's journey has allowed it to reach clients and crops of all types, reaching 700 clients in 14 countries. The technology, which is very easy to install, allows it to be shipped all over the world and has incorporated clients in America, Asia, Africa and Europe, highlighting Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Plantae already received an important award and recognition at the European level in 2020, named the Most Innovative Startup. In this new edition of SmartAgriFood '24 the jury wanted to reward the company's journey, its evolution in customers and the market and the successful approach to the practical solution offered by Plantae. All of this could not have been possible without the company's technical team, both at the agricultural level and from the IT and Hardware areas, as well as the entire network of distributors and technical engineers who use Plantae technology on a daily basis, advising with it to farmers, technicians and water users.
The reasons that led the jury to award Plantae were:
- A technology that maximizes profits and minimizes expenses.
- Reduction of water consumption.
- Business and market tour.
- Customer management and post-sales advice.
- Application to different crops, type of farmer and markets.
This achievement not only recognizes the company's innovation and potential, but also provides the opportunity to share our vision of precision agriculture with a broad and diverse audience and investors attending.

- Premio al Proyecto que Promueve una Perspectiva de Género: Reconociendo iniciativas que promueven la igualdad de género y la diversidad en el sector para NIGAL, “una innovadora startup gallega, por sus iniciativas y proyectos en recogida de residuos, monitorización de datos en barricas y cubas de vino, y gestión de recursos forestales”.
