Today, October 23, 2024, the second PERTE call for irrigation digitalization projects opens with some interesting modifications.
2nd PERTE call
According to the publication by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition in the Official State Gazette, Order TED/1148/2024, the deadline for submitting applications begins on December 9, 2024 and ends on January 22, 2025.
I. General Aspects:
- Objective: To promote the modernization of the irrigation sector through digitalization.
- Participants: Communities of water users for irrigation, either individually or in groups.
- Type of Aid: Subsidy of up to 100% of the eligible cost of the project.
- Execution Period: Minimum of 24 months and maximum until June 1, 2026, with the possibility of extension according to the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
II. PERTE 2 News:
The main changes introduced in PERTE 2 are summarized below:

| Solution C1 | Optional, with the possibility of subsidizing the civil works. If you are not eligible for this, this must be justified. |
| Minimum Amount | 25.000€ per project. |
| Solution C2 | The subsidy for the technological improvement of volumetric control systems on plots is extended. Optional up to 30% of the eligible cost. |
| Flexibility | Greater flexibility in defining actions and solutions. |
| Restrictions D and C2 | Greater flexibility, up to 20% (D) and 30% (C2) of the total eligible cost. |
| Eligible Expenses | * New costs for C1 in case of free-sheet captures. |
* Civil works for G and C1 solutions.
